Home Stretch to End Homelessness in Chicago

Thank you, everyone who has supported this initiative to date. As of Tuesday, we raised $1,201!

While fundraising on Michigan Ave. was challenging, we had amazing volunteers from DePaul University, Loyola University, and Renaissance Companies, plus interested young professionals and neighborhood participants. It says a lot for someone to donate their day to helping the 1,200+ individuals that live 24/7 on the streets of Chicago. Thank you, Renaissance Social Services, for providing prevention, housing, and supportive service programs that are essential to ending homelessness in Chicago.

Sunday's Zumba class, taught by Kymberlee Kaye Raya of Fly Girl Dance and her team of amazing instructors, was incredible! Thank you, St. Luke for the amazing use of Memorial Hall in Lakeview. What a fabulous space... and we were rocking it!

Monday's improv at Playground Theater on Halsted, just north of Belmont, represented the best of the best of Chicago's improv performers. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! And, the audience donated almost $150 to the cause.

We can't wait to get the results from the fabulous Chicago Bagel Authority, The Hair Loft, and Solo Salon, plus PORKCHOP Restaurant, which hosted "Steam Out Homelessness," "Blow Out Homelessness," and "Eat 2 End Homelessness" events over the past three nights.

Anyone who would like to continue to support the cause is invited to STATE Restaurant and Bar, at 935 W. Webster Ave, tonight, October 17, at 9pm for our victory party. Make a $10 donation at the door and receive a $10 gift card, donated by STATE, to be used between 9pm and 10pm.

We ask you to please support the wonderful businesses who generously helped the homeless:
